The Just Convergence

Our Mission

The work of The Just Convergence is rooted in the belief that meaningful progress requires both principle and practice. Our mission, vision, and values guide how we show up, how we collaborate, and how we support organizations serving justice-involved individuals and their families. They reflect our commitment to thoughtful connection, shared responsibility, and strengthening the impact of work already being done, while remaining grounded in dignity, respect, and long-term change.

Mission

The Just Convergence strengthens the capacity of community-based leaders and organizations serving justice-involved individuals and their families. We provide strategic partnerships, operational support, compliance infrastructure, and research connections — equipping effective programs with what they need to scale, sustain, and demonstrate impact. We exist to strengthen what works, remove barriers, and build practical pathways so every person returning home is met with coordinated, whole-person support.

Vision

The Just Convergence envisions a future where community-based leaders are recognized as essential partners in solving the challenges of reentry, family connection, and public safety. In this future, organizations led by people with direct experience are resourced, research-ready, and funded effectively — and people coming home, whether as parents, workers, or neighbors, have access to the relationships, resources, and dignity they need to succeed.

VALUES

Lived Experience as Expertise

People with direct experience bring essential insight to effective solutions. The Just Convergence is informed by the knowledge, perspective, and leadership of justice-involved individuals, families, and community-based founders — recognizing lived experience as a practical asset, not a credential to be debated.

Dignity and Opportunity

Every person deserves respect, connection, and the chance to contribute — to family, to work, and to community. We help build programs that see the whole person and support who they are becoming.

Amplify, Don’t Compete

The Just Convergence exists to strengthen, not overshadow, the work already happening on the ground. We raise the visibility of what works, helping partners move from survival to sustainable growth.

Collaboration Over Isolation

Lasting results require shared effort. We bring organizations, employers, researchers, and communities together — building coordinated networks so reentry is supported by connection, not left to chance.

Practical Hope

Hope is not sentiment. It is infrastructure. Through family connection, education, reentry preparation, and community safety, we help people build toward what is possible — and equip organizations to sustain that work over time.

Stewardship and Accountability

Impact should never be stalled by red tape or instability. The Just Convergence navigates compliance, aligns funding, and builds strong operational foundations so organizations can grow with integrity, resilience, and longevity.

Strategic Priorities

The Just Convergence operates as an incubator for community-based, justice-involved leaders and organizations. Our work focuses on building what works, removing barriers, and creating the conditions for lasting impact through four priorities:

  1. Strengthen Evidence and Influence— Support organizations in integrating research, evaluation, and learning into their programs — so their experience-driven work can inform policy, attract funding, and demonstrate measurable results without compromising community trust or mission.
  2. Build Capacity for Sustainable Growth— Equip organizations with operational support, grant readiness, financial management, and strategic infrastructure — ensuring growth is disciplined, accountable, and aligned with the communities they serve.
  3. Convene for Coordinated Action— Bring together community-based leaders, researchers, funders, technology developers, employers, and service providers to build programs that work together rather than in isolation.

Incubate Community-Informed Solutions — Develop The Just Convergence as a hub where organizations led by people with direct justice experience can access shared tools, compliance infrastructure, partnership opportunities, and the backbone support needed to compete, grow, and sustain their work over time.
